Creating impact in the finance environment
At EY ifb, you work on challenging transformation projects for banks and insurance companies – ranging from regulatory issues to modern IT and SAP solutions. In interdisciplinary teams, you advise clients as a trusted partner and combine strategic thinking with effective execution. You take responsibility, continuously develop your professional profile, and work in a mid‑sized organisation with around 350 employees – offering short decision‑making paths, backed by the development opportunities and strength of the global EY network.
Your Responsibilities
Our team in the Competence Centre for Information Management is actively shaping the future of data and reporting landscapes. We develop innovative strategies for data governance, design modern finance and risk architectures, and implement leading technologies such as SAP FSDM, FPSL, and S/4HANA. Together with our clients, we create tailored solutions that meet regulatory requirements while enhancing efficiency and transparency. If you are interested in working at the intersection of business and technology and want to help shape the financial industry, you’ve come to the right place! In our team, you will take on a variety of tasks, including:
- Contributing to challenging projects: You will help advance corporate management for national and international financial service providers.
- Designing and implementing complex data management solutions: You will develop customised solutions for banks, insurers, and asset managers.
- Using modern technologies: You will leverage data science, data governance, AI, cloud, and advanced data architectures to meet our clients’ needs.
- Working on business-related topics: You will develop solutions for risk management, accounting, regulatory reporting, and operational controlling.
- Continuous learning and teamwork: You will promote innovative solutions beyond the standard and collaborate closely with your team.
Your Skillset
- Analytical Thinking & Technical Affinity: Excellent university degree (Diploma, Master’s, PhD) in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, or economics; high flexibility and resilience.
- Data Management & Data Governance: Knowledge of data warehousing, data integration, multidimensional modeling, BI tools, relational databases, and ETL; experience in data quality management as well as developing data policies and standards; programming skills and interest in enterprise/BI architecture are a plus.
- Domain, Language & Soft Skills: Ideally familiar with CFO-related topics (accounting, risk management, controlling) in the financial sector; excellent German and fluent English skills; willingness to travel and strong communication abilities.
Your Mindset
- Agile: You believe that a flexible mindset is just as important for success as knowledge and skills.
- Curious: You are ambitious and committed. We are looking for people who see opportunities rather than challenges and find better solutions through targeted questions.
- Team-Oriented: You value diverse perspectives and enjoy working in a team. We seek people who want to achieve something together and create a trusting work environment.
